About Game Bloom

Our Story

Game Bloom was created with the mission to help keep girls stay in sport. Nationally, there is a high drop out rate of adolescent girls playing club sport, the reasons being multi-factorial. We believe that empowerment comes from knowledge. Our goal is to provide education on sport performance in puberty with the mission to help girls stay and play in their sport.

The Workshop

The educational workshop has been designed for girls and gender diverse young people 12-15 years of age. Groups of 8+ participants are recommended. The session includes education on the short/long term benefits of physical activity, how to reduce injury risk and improve sporting performance, best ways to manage a sporting injury, changes during puberty, the menstrual cycle  and what to expect (or not to expect), period, pelvic floor, and breast health.

The session is interactive, and participants are provided with their own educational booklets to keep. Coaches and teachers are encouraged to join in on the session so we can all be part of the common goal.
